Manual Hide Fonts Install

If you want to install your hidden fonts, but do not want to use the installer (or just want to use the files from our FTP server), here is a step-by-step process of how to change from the visual font setup (where you can see Textures fonts in other applications) to the hidden font setup (where you can not see Textures fonts in other applications). To follow these steps, you must be quit out of all other applications, other than the Finder. (You will be unable to remove any fonts from your Fonts folder in your System Folder if you do not.)

First, insert your Textures CD. Next, open up your System Folder, then the Fonts folder in there. Remove these fonts:

AMS/PS Screen Fonts

Cyrillic Screen Fonts

CM/PS Screen Fonts

LaTeX Screen Fonts

Without closing the Fonts folder window, open up your Textures CD, then go into the "System Fonts" folder, then open up the two folders "AMS Fonts" and "Computer Modern". Copy the following font suitcases from those two open folders into the Fonts folder:

AMS/PS hide Screen Fonts

CM/PS hidefonts

Cyrillic hide Screen Fonts

LaTeX hidden screen fonts

Close the "System Fonts", the "AMS Fonts" and the "Computer Modern" folders. Now open up the Textures folder on the CD, then the "TeX Fonts" folder. Open up your Textures folder on your hard drive, then the TeX Fonts folder. Copy the following metrics files from the TeX Fonts folder on the CD to the TeX Fonts folder on your hard drive:

AMS/PS hide metrics

AMSPS VF hide metrics

CM/PS hidefonts metrics

LaTeX hidden metrics

Finally, remove these from your TeX Fonts folder on your hard drive:

AMS virtual metrics

AMS/PS Metrics

Restart your computer and the installation will be complete.
