When you feel like there is something wrong with the way your fonts look, there are three possible explainations: either the screen fonts are not in your Fonts folder; your metrics are not in your TeX Fonts folder; or ATM is not setup properly. Here's a screen snapshot of a suggested ATM setup.

There are two other choices that you can make that will degrade the quality of your typeset. One is to turn off font smoothing, which makes the text look like:

If ATM is turned off, then your text comes out really blocky (
), like so:

Simultaniously press command-shift-3 together to make a screen snapshot. A file called "Picture" will appear on the base directory of your hard drive (the one with the active System Folder on it).
